The charity is governed by a board of trustees who are responsible for directing how it is managed and run.  The board decides future strategy and sets goals and targets, with the day-to-day running of the charity delegated to the Chief Executive.

The are 9 members on the board of trustees; 3 members are recruited from the local business community, 3 are council tenants and 3 are elected members of Brighton and Hove City Council.  The board meets at least 6 times a year.
