New

Possibilities

Activity Fund

With the cost-of-living crisis, anything above and beyond making ends meet each month can quickly become out of reach.

These challenges can be particularly tough for tenants living in temporary accommodation. Here at Seaside Homes, we want to offer you support to take a break from the usual monotony, change things up, and finally get the opportunity to do those activities you’ve been waiting to do. We hope that this support will bring new possibilities within your reach.

Funding

Apply for one activity or event per household

Seaside Homes are offering New Possibilities funding to help bring you those fun, relaxing, new, or enriching experiences that may otherwise be out of reach. All you need to do is tell us about the activity you want to do, and we can provide the funding directly to your chosen supplier on your behalf.

Ideally you will know what you are wanting to do, on what dates, and with which organisation. But if you only have a general idea of what you’d like to do and you aren’t sure what exactly is available in Brighton and Hove, get in touch with our Tenant Engagement Co-ordinator who will help you look into what is available locally or online!

We can also help with travel costs so that you can get to and from your activity, but this will need to be included within the maximum £250 total.

£250

maximum award

24 months

Each household can apply once every 2 years

If the activity, event or items you would like to apply for costs above the £250 maximum award, we may be able to partially fund you up to the £250 maximum if you are able to supply the rest of the money.
There is a cash limited budget per year (April-March) for this scheme and once the money has all been awarded, we will be unable to accept any more applications till the following April.

What is not covered by the scheme?

This fund cannot be used for activities that involve drugs or alcohol and cannot be used for activities outside of the UK.

Each application must be for one event or activity, you cannot bundle multiple items into one application.

No cash will be awarded.

Applications for a meal out are limited to £30 per person, up to a maximum of 4 people.

See the full terms and conditions here.
