Brighton & Hove Food Partnership are collecting from the kitchens of Brighton & Hove, to find them a new home and a chance to be used again.
So why not dig out that breadmaker, pasta machine or casserole dish you haven’t used in ages and donate it. All types of kitchen kit are welcome – from cutlery and plates to juicers and slow cookers. You can donate your unwanted kitchen items in advance.
Alternatively, just pop along on the day and see what’s on offer. It’s the perfect start to a new year’s decluttering, or a chance to kit out your kitchen on a budget.
What’s a ‘swish’? It’s more common with clothes, but ‘swishing’ has become a popular way to recycle, reuse and raise funds for charities. People donate items they no longer use and are able to select from other people’s donations to take home.
All items will be available for a suggested donation to raise funds for Brighton & Hove Food Partnership’s Community Kitchen, a new venue in the heart of the city where everyone can cook, learn and enjoy food together.
