Send in an entry for our Spring edition of Seaside News and win prizes

We want to keep you up to date and connected with our quarterly Newsletter, Seaside News. The next edition will be a special edition which we send to all tenants as a hard copy by post! This is following a recommendation from our wonderful involved tenants.

There's lots of ways to get involved, including our Photography and Recipe Competitions! Submit your entry through the form at the bottom of this page, or email tenants@seaside-homes.org.uk.

You can also submit your entry by post to Seaside Homes, Unit F, Hove Technology Centre, St Joseph's Close, Hove, BN3 7ES.

All current Seaside Homes tenants may enter the competitions.

Front Page Competition!

Each tenant who moves into a Seaside home is given a Tenant Handbook with all the info you need about living in your home. Seaside tenants suggested we run a competition so that a tenant can create the Front Page for the next edition of the Handbook! We are still accepting entries for this competition.

This could be a drawing, painting, photograph, digital image – or something I haven’t thought of!

The themes we are looking for are home, community, belonging, and Seaside Homes!

The winner will receive a £50 voucher.

Recommendations

New

Would you recommend your GP or dentist? Found a great cafe, food bank or nursery? Whatever it might be, send in your review to help other tenants find great local services!

Try to include whether the location is accessible, has parking, opening hours, and why you thought it was great!

If we publish your recommendation we will send you a £10 voucher, and we will start to build up a map of recommendations on our website!

Thank you to Matthew for his recommendation in the last newsletter!

Photo Competition

An artsy shot, a fun filled moment, or a snap that shouts SPRING! Send in your photos for a chance to be published in the Newsletter and win a £25 voucher!

Congratulations to the winners of the Autumn photo competition, Patricia and Ebony!

Recipe Competition

I’d love to see what you are cooking up, and I’m sure our Seaside News readers will appreciate the cooking inspiration!

To enter, please send me the recipe and a photo of the final dish!

The winning entry will get a £25 gift voucher!

Design, Proof Read, Edit

Want to get involved with the Newsletter behind the scenes? We have opportunities for you to get involved with designing, proof reading, and editing the Newsletter!

You can contribute as much or little as you’re able, and we can support you with training so that you can develop your skills.

Ideas

Do you have an idea of what you would like to see in the Newsletter?

Get in touch! We’d love to hear your ideas and incorporate them into future editions.

Write!

We want Seaside News to be a newsletter for tenants, by tenants. We’d love to hear your unique voice and thoughts!

You can write an article about any topic, write a poem, short story, or just a few sentences!

If we publish your writing we will send you a £25 gift voucher.

Want to have an informal chat about this before submitting? Chat to Niamh on 01273 732061.

Wondering why there is no “Winter” edition of Seaside News this year? We publish the newsletter once a quarter, and our Autumn newsletter was published early in quarter 3 (in October). Quarter 4 is January to March and due to other commitments, we are looking to publish the newsletter for Quarter 4 in March. This is still sticking with our schedule of once a quarter, and we will still publish 4 editions in 2023 and 2024, but the timing will match better to Spring, rather than Winter!
