To be a Trustee of an organisation is an exciting and fulfilling role. We are looking to appoint a current Seaside Homes tenant as a Trustee on our Board to ensure that the interests of tenants are being heard in our decision making processes. This is an opportunity to make a real difference and be a vital part of the organisation. The Board of Trustees actively contributes to the strategic direction of the organisation, the setting of overall policy, defining goals and setting targets, and evaluating performance against agreed targets. The role of Trustee is to ensure that Seaside Homes fulfils our duty to our tenants and delivers on our vision, mission and values.

The role of Trustee is voluntary and unpaid, although out of pocket expenses may be claimed. The time commitments of the role are:

  • Initial Induction meeting with CEO (2 hours)
  • 4 Board Meetings per year (2 to 3 hours per meeting, and approx. 2 hours preparatory reading per meeting)
  • 4 Training sessions per year (1 to 3 hours each)

Applicants will be shortlisted and invited for interview in early April. For an informal chat about the role, please give us a call on 01273 732061. To apply, please complete the form below, including a supporting statement (up to 500 words) describing why you are applying and what experience, knowledge, or skills you would bring to the role. We will send you an information pack with the full details once you apply (or feel free to request this before applying), and we will need to complete eligibility checks for the role.

Update 17/04/23: Thank you to everyone who applied, this application is now closed. We have completed interviews and appointed our new Seaside Homes tenant Trustee on our Board.
